Private Hire
Sometimes you just want the whole playground to yourself – no drama, no distractions, just you and your dog living your best off-lead life. For £10, you get 1 hour of private access to our fully secure doggy paradise. Perfect for zoomies, recall training, shy pups, or just burning off some steam in peace. Want to bring a few furry friends? Go for it – as long as everyone plays nice, we’re happy for small group bookings too.
Group Bookings
Got big doggy plans? Whether it’s a barkday bash, a training takeover, or filming the next canine content king, our play centre is up for hire at £20 an hour for commercial and event use. Loads of space, plenty of sniffs, and no awkward stares from strangers – just you, your pack, and full run of the place.
It’s ideal for:

Owners looking to practice recall or training in a secure space

Is there a limit on the number of dogs or people?
- A maximum of 4 dogs and 2 adults applies for the private hire of the space at £10/hr.
- For numbers higher than that or for commercial events, £20/hr applies.
Can I hire the play centre for a doggy party?
How do I gain access?
- Upon receipt of payment, an email will be sent to you containing the key box code which is on the main door so that you can access the key for the door.
- The location can be found most easily with Google Maps – just search for Alicia’s House of Paws and park right outside the door!
What are your terms and conditions?
Terms and Conditions of Private Hire – Alicia’s House of Paws (Scotland)
These Terms and Conditions govern the private hire of the facilities at Alicia’s House of Paws, a business operating in Scotland. By hiring the facility, you agree to the following:
1. General Use
1.1. The hirer agrees to use the premises responsibly and respectfully.
1.2. A maximum limit of 4 dogs and 2 adults applies for the private hire of the playground.
1.3. The premises must be left in a clean and tidy state, with all waste disposed of correctly. This includes:
1.4. All dog waste must be collected and placed in the provided waste bins.
1.5. All rubbish placed in the bins with the lids replaced on top.
1.6. Paddling pools must be emptied after use.
1.7. All play equipment must be returned to its original place after use.
2. Keys and Security
Upon leaving, the hirer must ensure:
2.1. The door is locked securely.
2.2. The keys are returned to the key box immediately.
2.3. The code on the key box is scrambled once the keys are returned.
2.4. Private hirers do not have access to the summer house, this is for staff use only but can be included for event or commercial bookings.
3. Supervision and Safety
3.1. The hirer is fully responsible for the safety and supervision of all persons and animals attending the session.
3.2. Alicia’s House of Paws accepts no liability for:
3.2.1. Any injury to persons or animals occurring during the hire period.
3.2.2. Any incident arising from failure to supervise dogs or people properly.
3.2.3. All dogs using the facility must be well-behaved, non-aggressive, and appropriately vaccinated.
4. Damage and Liability
4.1. The hirer is financially responsible for:
4.1.1. Any damage to the facilities, including but not limited to fencing, summer house or play equipment.
4.1.2. Any loss or breakage of equipment.
4.2. Any damage must be reported immediately to Alicia’s House of Paws. Failure to report damage may result in further charges or permanent exclusion from future use.

5. Cancellations and Refusals
5.1. Alicia’s House of Paws reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings at its sole discretion, particularly if these Terms and Conditions are breached.
5.2. No refunds will be provided for missed sessions or early departure due to misconduct or damage caused.
5.3. Cancellations made with more than 24 hours notice will be eligible for a refund.
6. Legal Framework
6.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
What is your cancellation policy?
- For regular bookings – after the 6-week settling in period (free cancellation during these 6-weeks);
- When 14 days notice or more is given, then there is a 50% charge for a missed booking.
- However, if less than 14 days notice is given, then 100% payment is required.
- For ad hoc bookings – there is a 100% cancellation fee regardless of notice time.

How do I book and pay?
Use the calendar above to choose a date, a time and number of dogs. Follow the process through to payment.
Will there be any other dogs or people in the playground?
You have exclusive use of the playground for 60 minutes from your booking time. There will be no other dogs or people in the area.
We use CCTV to ensure compliance with the timings of bookings but should there be any issues please send us a WhatsApp message to, or call 0131 560 6773.
How do I report damage to equipment or facilities, or a lack of supplies such as poo bags, washing up liquid etc.
